Sine wave is a pure frequency tone containing zero harmonics. Ideal for analyzing hardware distortions.

Stereo Testing checks routing matrix balance. If testing the left speaker and the right speaker plays sound, your output channels are flipped or bridged.

5.1 Surround Sound testing routes discrete channels (FL, C, FR, SL, Sub, SR) using Web Audio channel merging. Make sure your browser and OS audio settings are configured for 5.1/7.1 speaker output, otherwise channels will downmix to stereo.

How do I test my speakers online?

Select your layout (Stereo 2.0 or Surround 5.1). Click individual channel test buttons (like 'Left', 'Right', or 'Center') to trigger a diagnostic tone on that speaker, or click 'Sequential Test' to cycle through all channels automatically.

Does this tool support 5.1 surround sound?

Yes. The tool offers a dedicated Surround (5.1) layout to test six channels: Front Left, Center, Front Right, Surround Left, Subwoofer (LFE), and Surround Right. Make sure your browser and OS output configurations are set to 5.1 channels.

Why do all surround channels play out of left or right speakers?

If your OS sound settings or physical connection is set to Stereo, the browser downmixes 5.1 channels into Stereo (panning FL/SL to left, FR/SR to right, and Center/Sub to both). Verify that 5.1/7.1 surround sound output is activated in your system's control panel.

Is my audio volume safe for testing?

A master gain slider is provided to scale down the output. We highly recommend starting at a lower volume (e.g. 10%–20%) to protect your hearing and audio hardware, especially when testing high-frequency tones.
